Natural gas, the cleanest and most efficient way to heat a home or building, is also the most common type of furnace or boiler used today. Oil and electric heating are less common in major towns and cities, but are widely used outside areas serviced by natural gas.

We specialize in converting oil and electrical systems to natural gas. In many cases this is simply a matter of changing your furnace or boiler. In other cases, particularly when electricity has been used, a new system is designed and installed. We will only perform a complete retrofit of an electrical heating system where the operating savings of natural gas will pay for the capital expenditure of the conversion within about 5 to 6 years.

Improvements can range from the simple installation of a Honeywell digital thermostat, to installing more sophisticated zoning systems. Efficiently controlled systems can save you as much as 2-3% on your heating bill.

For hot water systems, all zoning products and controls will be appropriate to the individual system and application.

In 1949, Belyea Bros. Limited installed our first hot water ‘in-floor’ heating system. Of course, there have been enormous improvements in technology and equipment since then. The last ten years has seen a huge resurgence in hot water heating, particularly in new construction and in whole house renovations. The building and renovation process can also be an appropriate time to extend your existing hot water systems or install a new system and upgrade any hard surface area (mud room, entrance lobby, kitchen, bathrooms) to ‘in floor’ heating.

Ventilation and ductwork installation goes hand-in-hand with the installation of furnaces and air conditioning systems. We offer the design and installation of ductwork systems in residential and commercial structures on a case-by-case basis.
